Treasury Office
The mission of the Treasury Office is to support the stewardship of University’s financial resources and works collaboratively with other financial offices by providing new ideas for optimizing financial asset and liability management and ensuring adequate cash and working capital. The Treasury Office has responsibility for the banking relationships, debt portfolio, cash and liquidity management, short-term investing, non-pooled endowments, and planned giving.
Associate Vice President, Treasury & Investments
Lelia Peyronnin
Lelia started with Tulane University in 1994 and is currently leading the Treasury Office in her role as Associate Vice President, Treasury and Investments. Previously at Tulane, she has held several positions including Director of Treasury and University Investments, Director of Investment Operations, Director of Investments, Assistant Treasurer and Treasury Analyst. She has experience working with the endowment, university debt, cash management and banking. Prior to joining Tulane University, Lelia worked as a Securities Trader and Analyst in the Trust Department at First National Bank of Commerce in New Orleans, which ultimately became JP Morgan Chase. Her previous experience also includes commodities trading for a regional brokerage firm. Lelia earned her BA in Finance at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and her MA in Economics at the University of New Orleans. Lelia is a CFA charter holder.
